A proposed workflow connecting conversation, calculation, professional responsibility and BIM modeling.
Opportunity
Interpreting documents, adjusting inputs, checking standards, recalculating and explaining results. Connecting these steps can give engineers more time to explore alternatives and make design decisions.
Explore the idea
Explore foundations, structures and building systems in an interactive simulation of the proposed workflow for fablecalc.
An illustrative simulation with simplified calculations to demonstrate the workflow. This is not the fablecalc engine, and the results must not be used for engineering design.
Describe the footing (column, load and soil) or attach the example files. This chat is simulated: I read the text with rules, no language model, and every number comes from the calculation engine.

What sets us apart
We study the standards relevant to each subject and the adopted methods to translate their procedures into deterministic routines with explicit assumptions, units and limits. The engine keeps checks and unresolved items for engineering review.
In the platform vision, AI organizes documents, requests missing inputs and helps analyze changes. Calculations stay in the engine; the engineer confirms assumptions and makes decisions.

Coverage varies by module. External specialist review and testing with professionals and researchers are part of the preparation for public access.
Planned integration
Our next step is to bring designed and reviewed elements into Revit and other BIM tools, connecting calculations, modeling and multidisciplinary coordination.
We plan to build on existing tools and open standards. Assistants such as Claude Code and Codex can orchestrate MCP connectors and APIs; fablecalc’s deterministic engines remain responsible for the calculations.
Explore the complete project and simulate inserting footing S1 beneath column P1. This example uses the inputs from the demo above: adjust them to update the element here too.

The official Revit MCP is currently in Technical Preview for Revit 2027.2. Model updates will depend on supported operations, element mapping and engineer review.
Tools and standards being evaluated for planned integrations. Their inclusion does not imply a commercial partnership or an integration available in fablecalc today.
Roadmap
Foundations and geotechnics are the starting point. Structures, building systems and an integrated platform expand the vision.

Build with the people who will use it
We want to hear from engineers, design firms, educators and researchers. Our next step is to bring fablecalc to educators and researchers at UCS and other universities to test and improve the modules.

It is not open to the public yet. Loads, wind, geotechnics and foundation modules are already used on Versor projects. The others are in development or planned on the roadmap.
fablecalc speeds up the selection of structural systems and the calculations, with the reliability of deterministic calculations based on standards and established methods. The engineer sets the inputs, reviews and signs off on the design.
The validation plan before public launch includes comparison against reference calculations, specialist review and testing with professionals and researchers.
